Frequently Asked Questions

This is where you will find most answers. If there should still be any questions left, don’t hesitate to contact us.
What Does A Cosmetic Consultation Consist Of?
  1. As a patient, you voice your concerns as to what areas you are looking to improve.
  2. As a provider and educator, I assess & explain what I can improve by doing an in depth aesthetic analysis of your individual face. No two faces are alike, therefore I don’t inject any two faces the same.
  3. Not wanting to look “done.” As an artist of the face, I explain how injections can be done naturally to get a refreshed, rejuvenated, rested look as opposed to the dreaded look of being “done.”
  4. Determine the best products to be used for rejuvenation.
  5. Create a Cosmetic Plan and explain all the anti-aging treatments necessary to accomplish facial rejuvenation goals.
What Is Botox Used For?

Botox is used to treat many conditions from wrinkles, to migraines, to TMJ pain, to excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis). Many patients choose to use Botox to diminish signs of aging and create facial symmetry. Botox is FDA-approved currently to reduce the appearance of frown lines, forehead lines, and crows feet. Off label, it can be used to lift brows, open the eyes, soften nasal bunny lines, lift the nose tip, decrease dimpling of the chin, raise lip corners, evert the lips to create a fuller look, decrease a gummy smile, slim the lower part of the face and neck, lift droopy jowls, smooth out neckbands, treat asymmetry from Bell’s palsy (facial paralysis), amongst other cosmetic and medical implications. Clinically, it is considered safe and effective.

When Should You Start Botox?
I tell my patients when you are looking in the mirror with no expressions and you see lines starting to etch into the skin, this is a good time to start thinking about Botox.
Can I Go Back to Work After Botox?

Botox is a quick, easy and effective procedure and often only takes 15 minutes or less to complete. Patients typically have no downtime because Botox is a minimally invasive treatment. Patients who have very active jobs may want to avoid working for 4 hours. Otherwise, most patients can return to work immediately.

Can I Workout After Botox?

We recommend avoiding exercise for 4 hours after your Botox procedure. No excessive heat, yoga, or forward head bending exercises for 48hrs. After that time, you can return to your regular activities.

Does Botox Make You Look Older After It Wears Off?

One common misconception is that Botox makes patients look older once it wears off. This couldn’t be further from the truth! One of the positive “side effects” of Botox is that it is preventative. The areas treated with Botox have reduced movement, therefore not allowing further wrinkles to develop. Also, the muscles that pull the face downwards and create wrinkles are relaxed after treatment, which can continue to be beneficial even after the Botox wears off!

Are You A Candidate For Botox and Dermal Fillers?

YES! As we age, collagen production slows and our skin loses its youthful appearance. Botox & Dermal Fillers help to soften wrinkles and restore lost fullness to the face, lips, and hands.

Are Cosmetic Injections An Art?

YES! I am a firm believer and passionate about injecting artistically. I approach the face like a blank canvas, it doesn’t just take the color blue (Botox) to make a painting, we need an array of colors to make a masterpiece!
