Eyebrow Grooming Tips & Tricks
We spend a lot of time looking at people’s eyes, so it’s only natural that they play a big part in attractiveness. A great pair of eyebrows can act like the perfect frames. They draw focus to your face in all the right places.
Eyebrows are more than just the current trend, when the shape is right, they’re timeless. So, here are some tips and tricks to help maintain your brows after your shaping appointment at The Art of Anti-Aging:
Tip #1:
Trimming- when it comes to trimming those wild brow hairs that are falling out of place, there is a little trick to avoid cutting off too much hair.
First off, Do Not tweeze the hair as that is a quick way to thin out your eyebrows. Be sure to have your brow comb/disposable mascara wand handy. Divide the brow into 2 sections, front and back. Start at the front of the brow (parallel to the inner eye) and brush hairs up. Be sure to always trim at a diagonal angle to avoid making your brows look choppy.
When moving to the back of your brows (tail of the brows), trim at a straighter angle with brow scissors. Only trim a little each time and brush the brows in between trimming to check your work.
Tip #2:
Tweezing- When tweezing eyebrows to give them a quick clean up until your next appointment, Do Not pluck the primary hairs in the brow shape itself. Tweezing stray hairs underneath (not above) and midline in between your eyebrows is acceptable. If you are unsure where to tweeze, draw your eyebrows in desired shape and tweeze outside of the markings.
Tip #3:
Eyebrow makeup- When it comes to filling your eyebrows in to make them more defined and fuller looking, try to stay away from brow pencils. Why? Because the constant friction you are creating with the pencil causes hairs to fall out. Eventually, this will cause brow thinning. Our suggestion is to use eyebrow powder, gel or marker to create a beautiful result without causing hair fallout or thinning.
